"THE KiDS" - A name rooted in Wong Tai Sin for over 20 years.
We do more than just teach sports.
We empower children to embrace challenges, face failure with grace, lead an active life, and reject the "lying flat" culture
"We go the extra mile, because every child deserves an opportunity to shine."
Our Journey: From a Single Lap to a Lifelong Mission
The Spark: A Heartbreaking Choice
Our journey began over twenty years ago with a simple swimming class. Back then, we witnessed a scene that stayed with us forever: a family with three children of similar ages could only afford to let one of them learn to swim. It sparked a deep realization—why should a life-saving skill like swimming be a luxury? Doesn't every child deserve the chance to learn?
Breaking Barriers: Roots in Wong Tai Sin
We saw children denied the chance even to try due to a lack of resources. We also saw children—especially those with Special Educational Needs (SEN)—struggle with frustration and emotional scars due to a lack of professional support. Thus, in 2005, "Kits" established its first "Community Giveback Swimming Program" in Wong Tai Sin, ensuring that children in need could receive essential survival training.
Beyond the Water: Building Character
As our program grew, we realized that our youth faced challenges far beyond the pool. Many struggled with a pessimistic outlook on life that hindered their growth. We decided then that we would no longer just focus on swimming; we would focus on life. We began teaching the attitude to handle success and failure, and the spirit of unyielding perseverance.
The Quiet Perseverance: Overcoming Ridicule
For over 20 years, our path has not been easy. We faced severe shortages of resources, forcing our coaches to take part-time jobs elsewhere just to sustain our mission. We even faced skepticism and boycotts from industry peers who accused our "Giveback Program" of disrupting market prices. Yet, we never wavered. We stayed true to our original intention.
The R.I.S.E. Philosophy
Through years of experience, we have distilled our core values into four letters: R.I.S.E.
Today, our greatest achievement is not the number of families helped or the elite athletes trained. It is seeing our former students return to "Kits" as coaches, carrying the same mission to help the next generation grow.
Going the Extra Mile
We realized that for "Kits" to truly make an impact, we must "go the extra mile." In 2023, we officially established the Kits Youth Sports Development Foundation. Our goal is to pass this legacy forward and seek wider community support to ensure that every child, regardless of their background, has the opportunity to shine.

Through years of experience, we have distilled our core values into four letters: R.I.S.E.
- R - Resilience: Forging the willpower to never give up.
- I - Inclusion: Breaking barriers of race, age, and ability through sports like Floor Curling.
- S - Support: Providing professional expertise for those with special needs.
- E - Empowerment: Giving youth the tools to build a positive future.
